Auth. If he was Pte 203041, 1/5th North Staffordshire Regiment who died 25th February 1918 aged 23 and is buried at St Edward the Confessor churchyard, Cheddleton, Staffordshire. There is a Burnt Record for him.

Private 4465668, killed between 1 and 2nd March 1943 aged 22. Son of Matthew and Agnes Maria Stapylton, of North Shields, Northumberland. Commemorated on the Medjez El Bab Memorial, Tunisia.
