The following names have been taken from poppy crosses that are situated near the main entrance gate to the cemetery. Additional information is by kind permission of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission

Corporal 201259 Ernest POOLE, 3/5th West Yorkshire Regt (Burnt Record) He enlisted 14th July 1915 aged 38yrs and 9 months. Occupation joiner and was co-habiting at Ashbourne Road, Cheadle, Staffordshire. He was discharged medically unfit due to Tubercular of the Lung from Military Hospital, Rugeley Camp, Cannock Chase, Staffordshire on the 29th January 1918

Private 106658, Victor Henry WILSON, 28th Durham Light Infantry, died 13th November 1918 and is buried in Leek Cemetery.

Air Mechanic 1st Class 21953, Royal Air Force died 23rd October 1918. Son of Henry and Alice of leek and husband of A EVANS formerly Keates of B Harbour Terrace, Trefechan, Aberystwyth, Wales. Native of Leek and is buried in Leek Cemetery.

Rifleman R15158, Harry Malkin, 10th King's Royal Rifle Corps died 18th August 1917. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France

Private 47159 Dudley Herbert WILLMER, died at home 30th November 1917 aged 36. Son of William Thomas and Alice Anne nee Pyemont and husband of Mabel, nee Smith of 28. Westwood Road, Leek. Buried in Leek Cemetery. Birth registered as Dudley H at Bath RDC 1881.

PICKFORD David Company Sergeant Major, 9031, 9th Sherwood Foresters. Born 28th June 1885 at Leek admitted to hospital on the 18th October and died 23rd October 1916 aged 32 from Bara Myoclonus Multiplex at Coombe Lodge Hospital, Brentwood at 09:50am. He was the son of John of Ashbourne Road Leek and husband of Nellie nee Turner whom he married on the 19th October 1912 at All Saints church, Leek. At the time of his death his wife was residing at 76 Sandon Road, Leek In a memorandum dated 7th October 1919 she received her late husbands personal property address given was 2. Cornhill Street, Leek she also received a certificate Mentioned in Despatches dated 24th September 1920. He is buried in Leek Cemetery grave 7080 Holder of the D.C.M which was in the London Gazette dated 15th July 1916 He originally enlisted into the army 28th December 1903 aged 18yrs and 6 months into the 1st Volunteer Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment (Information from his Burnt Record)
