Extended Description: Guy Mainwaring Captain, Royal Navy was born at Whitmore Hall on 9th January 1847 and died at Market Drayton on Christmas day 1909. Whitmore Hall can be seen from the parish churchyard, north side. He was at Dartmouth port in 1881 on board H.M.S. Britannia as Senior Lieutenant
on the 3rd July 1886 he was on H M S Ganges Boys Training Ship as Commander
