L188 LAWRENCE SIDNEY MEHIGAN. Sick Bay Attendant P/M39307. Royal Navy on HMS Egmont, Malta. Born 18th September 1905 at Portsmouth, Hampshire to James and Anne Mehigan nee O'Reilly. 1911 residing with his parents and siblings at 22 Cottage Grove, Southsea, Portsmouth. Enlisted 23rd July 1925, occupation prior to enlistment, ticket worker. Died at Royal Naval Hospital Bighi, Malta 13th October 1931 aged 26. Suicide by drinking morphine poisoning accentuated by haemorrhage. Self-inflicted wound.
