Rifleman 20459 Kenneth Malcolm Agnew. 1st Royal Irish Rifles.
Born 1882 in Belfast to Henry and Eleanor Mary Agnew, nee Malcolm.
Irish 1901 census with his brother, Ivan and parents at 22 Malone Road, Belfast aged 19, occupation factory apprentice.
1911 his parents and brother Ivan residing at 22 Adelaid Park, Belfast.
When he was taken prisoner of war he gave his mother’s addresses 27 Adelaid Park.
It is also recorded (see PoW Record) that he died in Reserve Hospital, Hannover from general weekness.
Died of wounds whilst a prisoner of war in Reserve Hospital Hannover, Germany 25 June 1918.
A war gratuity was granted to his mother 23 March 1920.
At rest in Hamburg Cemetery, Germany.
Commemorated on a family grave in Belfast City Cemetery, Northern Ireland.
