Joseph Nathaniel Portlock DADSON. Captain, Royal Artillery. Born 1838, baptised 4 May 1838 at St Nicholas Church, Rocester, Kent younger son of Mary Campbell, nee Portlock and William Dadson of Rochester and grandson of the late Captain Nathaniel Portlock, Royal Navy and nephew of the late Major General J Portlock, Royal Engineers V.R.S. 1851 residing with his parents and sister, Elizabeth at Earlgate, Rochester, Kent. 1861 aged 23 years an Officer in the Royal Artillery stationed Artillery Barracks, Woolwich Dockyard, Woolwich, Kent.
Died 25th November 1864, aged 27 years
