Lost at sea 13 March 1943 age 27 years on the sinking of his ship
He did not die alone, Able Seaman William Harper from Donaghadee who was also on this ship
Commemorated on a family memorial in Donaghadee Churchyard, County Down, Northern Ireland and also on the Tower Hill Memorial, London.
