- John SPEARING. Able Seaman P/J6262 Royal Navy on HMS Bryony. Born 1st February 1894 at Winchester Hampshire Charles and Sarah Spearing nee Grist. Husband of Teresa Farrugia who he married 27th August 1932 in Malta. She died 30th June 1972 in Malta. Enlisted 17th December 1909 on HMS Impregnable. Civilian occupation Farm labourer. Died 27th August 1932 aged 38 years of pulmonary tuberculosis at Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta.
