George Edward MAXWELL

Extended Description
George Edward MAXWELL. Stoker 1st Class C/KX75548 Royal Navy on HMS Cyclops. His last vessel was HM Submarine Titania L.3. Born 26th July 1907 at Tynemouth Northumberland to Stewart and Mary Jane Maxwell nee Trobe. In 1911 he was residing with his parents and siblings at 13 Victoria Terrace, Wallsend, Northumberland. His father worked at the shipyards as a platers helper, three of his brothers also worked with their father, two being platers, the other a riviter. Enlisted 21st January 1926. Civilian occupation, platers labourer. Drowned 25th December 1932 aged 25 years from falling off a gang plank between submarines.
