John Edward VOCE. Musician 12541, Royal Marine Light Infantry, Plymouth Division on HMS Bacchante. Born 18th October 1888 at Kensal Green, London to John and Ellen Voce, nee Megan. Baptised 11th September 1890 at Walworth Common, Southwark. Enlisted 18th August 1904 Died 1st June 1908 aged 19 of miliary tuberculosis. His mother was informed of his death 2nd June 1908. On the 4th May 1898 aged 9 admitted into Flint Street Boy and Girls School, Southwark, London. His home address was 42 Darwin Buildings, Southwark His previous school was at Westmoreland Road, Southwark. 1901 aged 12 he was a house painter living at Barnes Home Industrial School for Boys, Heaton Norris, Stokport.
