Son of William and Jane Ann Goodill. Husband of Charlotte H. Goodill, of Hope Cottage, Seamer Road, Scarborough, England. Native of Scarborough. Killed in action 04 October 1917 age 34. Commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Belgium

Died 28 August 1918. At rest in Gourock Trench Cemetery, Tilloy-Les-Mofflaines.
