James FISHER. Rifleman 18/810, 11th Royal Irish Rifles.
Born at Moneyreagh 26 January 1884 to Moore and Elizabeth, nee McCullough of Ballymaleddy, Comber.
Irish 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 2 Ballymaleddy, County Down.
Husband of Elizabeth Jane McCalmont, who he married at Moneyrea Co. Down on the 26 October 1906.
Killed in action 1st July 1916 aged 35 at the Battle of the Somme, France. His widow was granted a war gratuity 4 March 1918 revised 22 November 1919.
Commemorated on the Thiepval memorial, Somme, France.
