Killed in action on the Antrim Road, Belfast, Northern Ireland 2nd May 1980.
He was Captain 491354, Grenadier Guards

Capt Westmacott was in command of an elite SAS team who had been operating under cover in an attempt to track down a batch of the deadly M60.. as the team moved in for action they where spotted by an IRA gunmen team in a house on the Antrim Road, Belfast on the 2nd May 1980...Herbert was shot in the head and died almost instantly.
