Henry William ASHFORD. Lieutenant, 100th Regiment of Foot (Princes of Wales’ Royal Canadians. Born 1842 at Twickenham, baptised 15 June 1842 at St Mary the Virgin, Twickenham Middlesex. Son of William Ker and Maria Cordelia Ashford nee Espinasse. 1851 residing with his parents and siblings at Brook Place, Upton Willow at Upton cum Chalvey, Buckinghamshire.
Died 2 July 1864 aged 22 years from fever. His fever was blamed on him bathing while steaming with perspiration, soon after a rowing trial
