George Nelson CHRISTOPHER

George Nelson CHRISTOPHER. Baker 3rd Class (BKR3) USNR. Born 23 March 1923 at Rushville, Rush Indiana USA to Eilliam Lewis and Grace Evelyn Christopher, nee Wilbur of Bluebird Inn, Selma, Indiana. 1930-1940 resided with his parents and siblings at North Spencer Street, Rushville, Rush, Indiana. Killed aged 23 by a guided bomb explosion on USS SAVANNAH and was flown to Malta along with 25 other men for burial.

Laid to rest 13 September 1943 in Plot G. Grave 115 Capuccini Military Cemetery, Malta.
Now at rest in East Hill Cemetery, Rushville, Indiana.
