COOPER George. Private, 16281, 8th, Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry, formerly 5871, Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Died 7th May 1916 in a military hospital in Malta. Born at Coalbrookdale, Salop, and lived at Aston, Birmingham. His widow Lizzie was granted a war gratuity on the 1st August 1916 revised on the 8th September 1919.
SLOMAN George Gilbert. Private, 21211, 10th, Hampshire Regiment, formerly G/7182 Royal Sussex Regiment. Died 15th May 1916, aged 28 years at Military Hospital, Valletta, Malta. He was the husband of Daisy Mary Sloman of 9 Charlwoods Road, East Grinstead, Sussex. She was granted a war gratuity on the 26th August 1916, revised on the 19th August 1919.
INNS Frank. Driver 71154, Cable Section, Royal Engineers, formerly 18432 Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry, died 20th May 1916. Born at Fenny Stratford, Buckinghamshire and lived at Cutteslowe, Oxfordshire, son of Fred who was granted a war gratuity on the 24th July 1916, revised on the 6th September 1919. In 1911 he was living with his parents Fred and Emma at Middlestons Cottages, Banbury Road, Wolvercot near Kidlington, Oxfordshire. He was employed at the age of 14 as a drapers errand boy.
