George BURNS

BURNS George Shipwright 2nd Class M/14047 Royal Navy on HMS Blenheim. Born 4 November 1887 at Glasgow Lanarkshire enlisted 24 June 1915 on HMS Pembroke II, occupation prior to enlistment, shipwright. Died 27th February 1916 aged 29 by cutting his own throat with a razor in a fit of depression following an alcoholic access on board HMS Blenheim. No one else was to blame. Verdict suicide. His father John resided at 491 Govan Road, Govan Glasgow, Scotland.
