George ALLEN

George ALLEN, Private 10202, Royal Marines Light Infantry, Chatham Division on HMS Minerva, aged 28 years. Born 27th March 1880 at Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Enlisted 12th April 1898. In 1901 he was serving on board HMS Vulcan at the Grand Harbour, Malta with the Royal Marine Light Infantry aged 21. Died 9th March 1908 aged 27 from scalding, caused by escaping boiling water from the engine room. His widow was informed of his death 9th March 1908. At rest in Plot B Grave 155, Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta. (Unmarked burial)
