G143 ALGERNON EDGAR PERCY CHEESMAN. L.R.C.P.(Lond) M.R.C.S (Lond) Surgeon-Captain, on Manoel Island now called HMS Talbot, later of HM Dockyard Malta. Born 13 March 1886 at Farnham, Surrey to Edwin Thomas Army Veterinary Surgeon with 5th Dragoon Guards and Anna Maria Cheesman, nee Barton. 1891 residing with his parents and siblings No 15 Rosedale Road, Lambeth, London. Educated at Lancaster College, West Norwood, trained at Guys Hospital college about 1909. Qualified as L.R.C.P.(Lond) M.R.C.S (Lond) 1909
Enlisted into the navy and in 1910 and in 1911 at Haslar Naval Hospital, Alvrstoke, Gosort, Hampshire as Acting Surgeon aged 25 years. On the 3 April 1926 he married his wife Doris Eileen Burr at St Michael’s Church, Bournemouth. (Birth surname Cheesman). Died 1 March 1942 aged 55 years.

Mrs. DORIS EILEEN CHEESMAN nee Burr. Born 23 June 1895 to Arthur John and Florence Sarah Louisa Burr nee Platt. 1901 residing with her parents and siblings at The Rectory, Uphill, Somerset. 1911 boarder at Effingham House, Collington Lane, Little Common, Bexhill, Sussex aged 15 years.
Died 1st March 1942 aged 47 years. The family residence in England was at 27 Marlborough Road, Bournemouth.

Husband and wife died together in their residence at 120 High Street, St Julians, Malta during enemy bombing at night.

All at rest in Plot G grave 140 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
