G116 IVO WYNDHAM LATON FREWEN-LATON. DSC Commander Royal Navy on HMS Bryony. Born 6 May 1892 to Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Frewen-Laton, 16 Lancers. Entered the navy on the 15 January 1905 and was in a Training College aged 13 years. Promoted to Midshipman 15 January 1910, Sub-Lieutenant 28 February 1913, Lieutenant 28 February 1915, Lieutenant Commander 23 February 1923 and Commander 31 December 1928. On the 1 August 1931 he was promoted to Commander. 22 December 1923 he Married Katherine Joan Bayley at Holy Trinity, Brompton, Kensington and Chelsea aged 31 years, rank, Lieutenant Commander, Royal Navy. Died in Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta 7th March 1933 from a diabetic coma and acute otitis. (Media Ancestry record his name as Fredin-Saton.) Wills and Admin, Ancestry - His residence in England was The Gables, Cranleigh, Surrey. Died on date and place stated. His effects went to his widow Katherine Joan Frewen-Layton.
