Died 17 December 1917 aged 38 years.

Notes from her service record -
Enlisted 9 January 1917 and posted as Sister to 3rd Northern General Hospital, Sheffield. Embarked from London 17 January 1917 disembarked at Salonika 25 January 1917. She reported for duty at 33 Stationary Hospital, Salonika on the 28 January 1917. She fell ill with appendices and was transferred to 43 General Hospital 18 November 1917. 24 November reported as dangerously ill with appendicitis and abscess. Before she died, she asked to be allowed to hand over her effects to a friend, Sister S J Holfield TFNS who left by Hospital Ship on the 18 December 1917 (day after she passed away) and was going to take it direct to the deceased lady’s mother, Mrs Astell of 187 Queen Road, Norwich. The effects were of a private nature and no inventory was made. Signed A Winfell, Col RAMC of 43 General Hospital She died of her illness 17 December 1917 aged 38. Her Service Medals were issued 9 June 1923.
