Born on the 17th August 1895 at Hadley, he was the son of Christine Clark Fletcher of 10. Crescent Road, Hadley, and the late James. In 1901 his mother and his siblings were all living at Oldbury Road, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. His mother had remarried and was now called Tallis and his stepfather was called Hedley Tallis.
He is now at rest in Hadley General Cemetery, Shropshire
