21054 C.Q.M.S. Edward Noon, 1st Bn Manchester Regiment ([E] Manchester). (PALESTINE)
For conspicuous gallantry and fine personal example throughout the September, 1918, operations, and especially at Azzun on the 20th. when he continually led his men forward to the attack in the most fearless manner. His example greatly stimulated those under him.

Hanley Stoke-on-Trent Cemetery, Staffordshire.
