LESLIE GORDON BAXTER. Able Seaman C/LD/X 3971) Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve on H.M. Submarine Urge, (N17). Born 7 June 1917 at Laytonstone to Harry and Violet Edith Baxter, nee Trayler. Wife of Edith Nora, nee Sprackling who he married in 1939. She passed away in 1999.

He died at sea of the coast of Malta 6 May 1942 aged 24 years. Commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial Kent.
