DAVID BENNETT ALLEN. D.S.C., M.I.D. Lieutenant, Royal Navy on H.M. Submarine Urge (N17)

Born 23 March 1920 at Leek, Staffordshire. Son of Jessie Josephine Allen, nee Challinor and George Bennett Allen, Engineer Rear Admiral, Royal Navy. Died at sea 6 May 1942 aged 22 years of the coast of Malta. Commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial, Hampshire.
