Born 23 March 1920 at Leek, Staffordshire. Son of Jessie Josephine Allen, nee Challinor and George Bennett Allen, Engineer Rear Admiral, Royal Navy. Died at sea 6 May 1942 aged 22 years of the coast of Malta. Commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial, Hampshire.
