David Ian DOBSON. 1978 - 2006 Army Air Corps. In loving memory of our dear son David who lived life to the full and brought such joy into our lives.
Captain 555123 David Ian Dobson, Army Air Corps, aged 27, was serving as a pilot with 847 Naval Air Squadron, based at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton. He was single.
Known as "Dobbo" to colleagues, he had joined 847 Naval Air Squadron only two months ago. He was the co-pilot of Lynx helicopter on Saturday 6th May 2006 which crashed landed in Basrah City, Iraq killing the crew of five.
The 27-year-old bachelor had been serving as a pilot with 847 Naval Air Squadron, based at the Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton.
Commemorated on a memorial plaque at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire.

Lieutenant Commander Darren Chapman, Royal Navy, was the Commanding Officer of 847 Naval Air Squadron based at Yeovilton. He was aged 40, and was married with three children.

Flight Lieutenant Sarah-Jayne Mulvihill, aged 32, served as a Flight Operations Officer at Royal Air Force Benson.
Born in Canterbury, Sarah-Jayne joined the Royal Air Force as an airwoman in May 1997 and on completion of her basic training was posted to RAF Coningsby in October 1997.
Armed Forces Memorial have the following. Flight Lieutenant 8245481J Sarah-Jane MULVIHILL. Born 10th June 1973 died 6th May 2006 aged 32.

Marine Paul M Collins, aged 21, served as an Air Door Gunner with 847 Naval Air Squadron. He was single and based at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton.
Armed Forces Memorial have the following. Marine P061751Q Paul Michael COLLINS. Royal Marines of 847 Naval Air Squadron. Born 20th July 1984 died 6th May 2006. Hi final journey was to Exeter and Devon Crematorium, Topsham Road, Exeter.
