His plaque which is situated on the Old Cemetery Lodge, cemetery side and not in view of the passing public, I found it by accident. Surely it should have had pride of place on the building
There is no public access to the cemetery via this entrance, it is blocked off by purpose built brick base and black painted iron fence.

Private, 2/24th (2nd Warwickshire Regiment of Foot) Won the Victoria Cross on the 7th May 1867 at Andam Islands, Bay of Bengal The Cross was not awarded for bravery in action against the enemy, but for bravery at sea in saving life in a storm off the Andaman Islands

His grave is marked by a simple wooden cross with poppy cross attached on the west side of Warstone Lane Cemetery, Birmingham
