I like this picture. The guy to the left is carrying a British Army 7.62 SLR rifle and the guy to the right an 5.56 SA80, On the left he is wearing all the gear I wore in the 1980's when I joined the British Army and to the right is how I would have looked when I retired in 1994. although I think some of the kit the guy on the right is wearing was probably later than that. Cant see his webbing so not sure what era the guy on right represents.
