Killed by enemy action at Reading. He died at 175, Friar Street, Reading 19th February 1943 aged 32. Husband of Kate (katherine Mary), of Moochie, Beech Road, Purley near Reading and son of Thomas
He may be buried in Reading Cemetery and commemorated at Hartshill Cemetery, Stoke upon Trent, Staffordshire and is also commemorated in the Civilian War Dead Roll of Honour, located near St. George's Chapel in Westminster Abbey, London
