Son of Samuel and Eliza Evans, of 3, Fairhaven Street, Hyde Road, West Gorton, Manchester. His mother was awarded a war gratuity 23 March 1918, revised 28 November 1919. He was born at West Gorton, Manchester. Grandson of Samuel and Emma Evans, Brook House, Stoke Heath.
