- Alfred Ernest Carter BLACKMORE. Ordinary Seaman M4550 Royal Navy on HMS Coventry. Born 19th December 1891 at Bideford Devon to James Lewis and Sarah Ann Blackmore, nee Carter, husband of Gladys nee Phillips. Enlisted 10th June 1912 on HMS Vivid I, occupation prior to nee Carter. Enlistment, grocer. Died 26th October 1926 aged 18 years at Royal Naval Hospital Bighi, Malta of toxaemia following fatty degeneration of the liver.
Wills and Admin, Ancestry. His residence in England was 20 Forest Avenue, Plymouth, died on date and place stated. His effects went to Gladys Blackmore.
