LINDEN Alexander James. Private, 7892, 1st/5th Royal Scots Fusiliers, died of wounds 14th January 1916, aged 29 years on H.M.Hospital Ship, Devanha from injuries received in Gallipoli. The son of Hugh and Jane Linden of Cladda House, Pinwherry, Ayrshire and husband of Janet and a father. His wife was granted a war gratuity on the 2nd May 1916 Death cannot divide love and remembrance last for ever.
COX Tom Private, 684, 1st West Somerset Yeomanry, Corps of Hussars died 10th January 1916 in Malta of enteric fever (typhoid) He was the son of Charles who was granted a war gratuity on the 12th April 1916.
SMART Charles. Gunner, 16563, B Battery, Royal Horse Artillery, died of wounds in a hospital ship en-route to Malta on the 13th January 1916. Native of Leicester and enlisted at Birmingham . He was the husband of Mary Eliza nee Fowkes now called Mary Eliza Griffin husband of Arthur.
