Born 1892 to David and Sarah Jane Campbell, nee Smyth of Donaghdee, County Down, Ireland
Killed in action in France, 1st day of the Battle of the Somme July 1916 died aged 24. His father was granted a war gratuity 05 September 1917 revised 12 September 1919. Commemorated on a family memorial in Donaghadee Churchyard, County Down, Northern Ireland.
At rest in Suzanne Military Cemetery No.3, Somme, France.
