2.26.05 John SKELHORN. Private 7093, 1st Lancashire Fusiliers. Born 1879 at Lymm, Cheshire to George and Margaret Skelhorn, nee Rigby. 1891 residing with his parents and siblings at Newfields, Lymm, Cheshire, occupation aged 13 years, fustian cutter. Enlisted 18 January 1899, civilian occupation, fustian cutter. (Fustian is a coarse cloth made from cotton and flax. The cutter lifted and cut the threads). Died 8th June 1901 aged 22 years. His father was granted a gratuity 30 September 1901.

At rest in an unmarked burial in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta. Plot 02 Row 26 Grave 5.
