BNS Louise-Marie has not entered the Red Sea with the deployment being postponed indefinitely. During a practice drone attack off Crete a RIM-7 Sea Sparrow got stuck in the launcher and the other weapons systems (Oto Melara 76mm cannon, Goalkeeper CIWS and various machineguns) failed to take down the drone as well.

HNLMS Karel Doorman is still in the Mediterranean due to technical failures of weapons systems, probably the two Goalkeeper CWIS. Experts have been flown to Crete to fix the issues, but so far without success.

It's only a matter of time before the penny pinching "peace dividend" will be costing us ships worth billions.

The budget for the Doorman was kept down by reducing the defensive armament suite to pure point defence.

Because you're not getting shot at while exclusively delivering emergency relief aid in the end of history
