I have been browsing the web, researching my father's involvement as a winter war volunteer. You appear to be a specialist on the Finnish Winter war so I turn to you for help. I only know he was part of osasto sisu and was captured on his way home to Scotland and spent the rest of the war as a POW. The fires are a long way away from where we live but of course it's always the main topic on the news. On a sad note two Volunteer Firefighters ( a man and a young women) were killed when a tree fell on their truck. Look forward to hearing from you when you have the time.
