Hi guys I'm not one for sitting around reading books but I've had to just that.
As we all know just how difficult it is to find out stuff from the second world war and as many regiments were formed for just the war their history during that time can be very difficult to find.
You may not know that the Regiments during that time..... it was up to senior commanders to log and record the day-to-day actions of the Regiment known as a war diary and for me this book is possibly one of the best sources of information on my grandad's time in his Regiment..... 12 Regt RHA (HAC) (TA).

In the book it gives a detailed look at all the Regiments of (HAC) Including
11 REGT RHA (Regular)
13 REGT RHA ( TA )

I could go on but it's so involved I thought that you would like to see a small snip from 12 Regt which is what concerns me.
Enjoy.

I have to say at this point that my grandad may have been in action on this occasion but we might never know as there is no record of gun crews at this time.

That sounds wild. I've read about the use of the 25pdr in direct fire before in North Africa, due to the limited availability of AT guns, but didn't figure engagements would last this long.
