This aircraft was intended for WW2, so I'll leave these here.

This was a Heinkel prototype for consideration by the Luftwaffe before WW2

Arado's Ar-80 was a competing design

Focke-Wulf's FW-159 was a Spanish Civil War era design that wasn't adopted

As an emerging design type, many small changes were made during testing

Heinkel had other designs pending like this early rocket aircraft He-176

Heinkel's "Salamander" He-162 was a successful jet design

After testing the He-112, Japan went with the A5M2 instead for its tighter turning ability. The Japanese military also didn't like air cooled engines for some reason.

Heinkel sold 100 He-112s to Romania, but they only took delivery of four.

A little bit difficult that Spanish Republican Army used He112, as the Republican side was supported by USSR and the Nationalist side was supported by Germay, Italy..... :D :D Nationalist Air Force and latter Spanish Air Force used He112 to the point that one of them downed a US P38 in 1943

You are right - I meant the Nationalist side. Republicans had "Ratas" for one type.
