This a depiction of a Marine unit fighting back the Red Chinese

On 27th Nov. 50, thousands of Chinese troops swarmed over the frozen Yalu River, on the N. Korean/Chinese border, cutting off US Marines in the Chosin Reservoir area. Over the next ten days the Marines, with air support from both the Navy and Marine Air Wings, fought their way out of the trap to Hungnman and safety. I made this diorama in memory of my brother Jack who was a Navy corpsman with the 1st Marines

I Like this a lot, thanks for posting this Tom.
If it's not to painfull, can you say more about your brother.
as the Korean war is a much under reported war, compaired
to WWII or Viet-nam.

Very nicely done. What scale and what brand of figures? I love your composition and groundwork, the scale terrain is very believable!

The scale is 1/35th the figures are from Dragon with a little mortification.I made the hills with insulation foam and the snow was baking power. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. As modelers We always share information

Thanks

Tom

I once attempted to make an Airfix Spitfire model, it was then that I realised I have no talent nor patience for such venture so never tried it again mil-smile07

Don't be harsh on yourself. Really it's mostly a matter of patience and time. If you want you can become very proficient in these things and many people who do modelling are not artists in the first place or born talents. They just interested, motivated and improve by learning. You can do the same. ;)

@tsweeney

I have transferred all these photos to our server because your photobucket account has run out of bandwidth and the images do not show
