The Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands has chosen Embraer C-390M Millenium aircraft as the successor to the fleet of worn-out C-130H Hercules aircraft.

It's a huge success for the Brazilian manufacturer, which won thanks to the higher operational readiness of the C-390M but also the fast delivery. The first plane is to be delivered in 2026.

The first soldiers were dressed in the new (temporary) combat clothing today.

This is done in a camouflage pattern specially developed for the Netherlands. The honor went to the soldiers of 43 Mechanized Brigade in Havelte. The entire armed forces will receive the new outfit in the coming year. The issuance of around 480,000 trousers and jackets represents a major logistics operation for the Defense clothing company.
