Looking for naval fighters on the web I found this article with pictures of Republic P-47 Thunderbolts embarked on aircraft carriers. There was a naval version of this plane? The report and photos, never seen by me before, can be viewed at the link below:

There was No Naval variant of the P47 , They were transported on carriers to operate from land bases on the captured islands

Well his account of simply finding the photos is misleading too, it is my understanding he runs that site.

Anyways agreed with above comments no naval version existed
