Formerly CPT, TC, USAR. Arrived shortly after the Cambodian Incursion and left after the Lam Son debacle (not my fault). At that time, the 164th consisted of 3 aviation battalions, one air cavalry squadron, and a few smaller attached units, a total of about 6000 men. Our primary mission was to provide air mobility and close air support to ARVN infantry units operating in IV Corps (Mekong Delta).
