Wreckage of Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero plane shot down by USAAF fighters near the Civil Construction Coprs camp in Wahiawa, T.H., during the Japanese attack on Wheeler Field.
Going through pics of A6M (in various models) I found this marking I've not seen before. Can anyone identify it? SW
**post title should be ID *an* A6M marking - I can spell; I just can't tipe**
T-6 Texan rebuilt as a Japanese Zero, for the movie Tora Tora Tora . Flys on as a Confederate Air Force plane in the re-enactment of the bombing of Pearl Harbor 1941.
Confederate Air force Zero's (T-6 Texans) break into a turn after there bombing runs to start there strafing runs, as a tribute to the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor.
Mitsubishi Zero look a likes( CAF T-6 Texan's made to look like Jap Zero's) are starting there turn for there strafing runs at Mt. Comfort , Indiana Air show
Mt. Comfort ,Indiana the begining of the Tora Tora Tora tribute to the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. The view from way back by the beer tent , thanks to my wife for a different photo perspective. Not a bad picture for the camera she was using, an over the lens 110 instamatic.
