Royal Marines from Fire Support Troop, Charlie Company, 40 Commando Royal Marines engaging Taliban positions with a mortar and a Javelin medium range anti-tank guided weapon.
REID, George. Private 3778097, No 1 Commando, King\'s Liverpool Regiment died 27th June 1943 aged 29. He was the son of Robert and Frances and he was the husband of Dorothy all of Birkenhead. He is at rest in Landican Cemetery, Birkenhead, Cheshire.
Royal Marines of Alpha and Bravo Company, 40 Commando take up a position during a live firing exercise in the Mojave Desert, California, USA.
They were supported by American M1 Abrams Tanks during the Combined Arms Live Firing Exercise (CALFEX) phase of Black Alligator 13.
