Extended Description
Lance Corporal, 6203 William SCALLY. B. Company, 3rd Lancashire Fusiliers stationed at Lower St Elmo Barracks, Malta. Died on the 27th April 1901 aged 21 years. Born at Manchester, occupation, carter, enlisted on the 15th April 1898, son of Catherine and brother of Elizabeth, both were granted a war gratuity on the 19th July 1901.

Private 6647, Thomas BARTON. B. Company, 3rd Lancashire Fusiliers died 17th February 1901 aged 22. Born at Warrington, occupation, labourer, enlisted on the 25th August 1898. Son of Elizabeth, brother to William and Martha, all were granted war gratuity on the 13th June 1901. Mother got £3.11s.1d, others got 11s and 3pence.
Erected by the Officers, Non Commissioned Officers and Men of B Company, 3rd Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers.
