Lance Corporal William SALT No. 18277 2nd Bn. East Yorkshire Regiment
Died 29 September 1915 aged 26

Son of John and Annie Salt, 14 Cooper Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.
In 1911 he he was residing with his parents and siblings, one being Thomas at 14 Cooper Street, Hanley. Occupation aged 20 Biscuit placer (Sanitary) in a pottery.

Commemorated at Loos Memorial, France.

Commemorated on a family headstone at

Hanley Cemetery, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.

Also commemorated on this headstone is his brother Thomas -
Private Thomas SALT No. 11962 2/6th North Staffordshire Regiment.
Died 15 April 1918 aged 21.
