Extended Description
Private 24308692 William John McCUTCHEON 5th County Londonderry Battalion. Shot dead by the PIRA at his workplace, Macrete Concrete Company, Castledawson County Derry on the 1 April 1976. He was off duty aged 48. At rest in Desertlyn Old Graveyard. Moneymore County Londonderry.
His nephew Robert Glover was also murdered by the PIRA.

William John McCutcheon a 48 year old part time UDR soldier and father of four was shot dead at his work near Toomebridge. He was from Stonard Street in Moneymore was found with a gunshot wound to the head by workmates at the Macrete Concrete Works at Creagh in
the early hours of the morning. He was shot at close range, close to his car.
