AMEY William James. Private 485094, 816th Employment Coy., Labour Corps, formerly Rifleman, 26770, 15th,The Rifle Brigade, attached to Died of Malaria, 23rd June 1918, aged 37 years. He was the son of Henry and Rachel Amey, of Stanstead, Essex, and husband of Annie Elizabeth Amey, of 18 Ethnard Road, Old Kent, Road, London.

WALKER Joseph.Private 11680, 9th, Border Regiment, Born at Wigan Lancashire and died 5th July 1918. Husband of Elizabeth.
Some notes from what remains of his army record. he joined up on the 16th August 1914 at Carlisle aged 22, married, and was a collier by occupation. He was posted the same day the depot of the Border Regiment, 6th Battalion. He was married on the 8th April 1912 to spinster, Miss Elizabeth Chapman at Pendlebury, Manchester. They were residing with their daughter, Charlotte, born 8th January 1913 at Salford. His widowed mother was called Annie, brother, Ernest and sister Emma. His mother lived at 10, Hopwood Street, Pendlebury. On the 28th July 1915 he was wounded, shrapnel wound to his scalp at the Dardanelles. He was later sent to England on Hospital Ship Aquatania from Mudros. No record to show when he returned to his regiment in Salonica.
On the 10th October 1917 he was admitted to 43rd General Hospital. On the 26th April 1918 he was sent to Malta on Hospital Ship, Braemar Castle and was admitted into Cottonera Hospital, Valletta, dockside where he died of Bronco Pneumonia . Cottonera Hospital, Sengela,was situated alongside a dock and was severely bomb in WW 2, most of it was later rebuilt and is now only a shell as of Sept 1914.

CROSSLEY George. Sergeant, 56175, 30th Coy, Royal Army Medical Corps. Died of dysentery, 24th July 1918, aged 21 years. He was the son of Thomas and Miriam Crossley, of 27 Gladstone Buildings, Sowerby New Road, Sowerby Bridge, Yorkshire.
