Extended Description: William (Bill) HIGGS, Glider Pilot, Army Air Corps. D-Day and Arnham. Severely wounded, captured in Arnham. Prisoner of War at Stalag X1B. Born 20th May 1920, passed away 1st September 2013. This memorial is at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire.
