- William Henry HOTHAM. Lieutenant, 44th Regiment of Foot eldest son of Captain, the Honourable George Frederick Hotham, Royal Navy.
Died at Malta, 5th December 1848 aged 24. This monument is erected by officers of the 44th Regiment.
His Army career: Ensign 25th July 1845: Lieutenant 8th December 1846. Born 15th June 1825, the son of Captain the Hon. George Frederick Hotham Royal Navy, and nephew of the late Admiral Hotham. His body was borne to his grave by his comrades, with the bands of 44th and 69th Regiments in attendance
At rest in Msida Bastion Cemetery, Floriana, Malta.
